Haiti Earthquake
Oresto O'Claude, 4, is held by his father father Jean O'Claude, 65, at the General Hospital in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Oresto was recovered from his collapsed home five days after the earthquake with injuries to his head and torso and part of his arm had to amputated. Oresto's mother died in the house and his father carried the boy with his head wrapped in handkerchiefs from Leogane, Haiti to Carrefour for a day and a half until they could get transport to the hospital. Oresto repeatedly cried out for his mother.
